4 Ways to Create Stylish Kids' Rooms
Kids’ rooms do not have to be an afterthought in your home! If you love style, then there are definitely ways to be sure the rooms your children occupy are just as stylish as the rest of the house. All it takes is a little planning and a bit of strategy and these rooms can shine just as brightly as any other space in your house. Here are my best ideas for chic spaces for kids!

1. Get Their Thoughts
I ALWAYS talk to the kids in the home when I’m starting a project. They should have spaces that make them feel at home, too! So talk to them about what they want and what they love. Even the smallest child has an opinion on what colors they like. And they may talk about wanting to have friends over (which means extra beds) or maybe that they love to play dress-up (so think big mirrors and a vanity). They will be happier with the results if they have a say!

2. Be Practical
Once you’ve decided on a great design, be practical about how you execute it. That means stain-resistant fabrics and carpets, washable wall paints, and furniture that can take a beating. That will keep the room looking gorgeous much longer!

3. Create Zones
A kid’s bedroom should have zones, including a sleep space, a work space, and a play space. Each zone should also have everything it needs to function perfectly. That gives your kids a bit of autonomy, and it will make them want to hang out in their rooms!

4. Don’t Forget the Fun Factor
You can offer a lot of fun in these spaces while still giving them a chic look! Think of hidden spaces, storage for specific toys or sports equipment, fun stairs up to a loft or top bunk, or little reading nooks. Kids love to feel like there are secrets that only they know, or spaces that operate just for them. So be sure to give them those elements of surprise and delight!
Use these ideas to create fabulous spaces for your children or grandchildren!
