House Tour: A Bold Ranch Home
When my clients approached me to design the interiors of their Texas ranch house, they told me they wanted bold colors and to showcase their incredible modern art collection. I created livable spaces that are perfect for entertaining with rooms that include custom looks. Let’s take a tour!
I wanted to show you the kitchen first because of the mix. That’s the combination of design styles and finishes that looks polished and balanced. Modern stools are paired with traditional style on the island. Sleek pendants are showcased against classic cabinetry. Wood finishes are balanced with painted styles. It creates a transitional look that is one-of-a-kind!
In the breakfast area, you can see one of the gorgeous pieces of art found throughout the home. I love to mix modern art with more traditional forms, like this dining table and chairs. I also added incredible texture with the woven style of the chairs.
In the living area, I again wanted to balance the traditional look of the beams and stone with modern furnishings and art. The shape of the table is incredible and it complements the gorgeous piano that my clients already had in their home.
The modern shape of the chairs and the fabulous lucite table look fantastic with the ornate gold leaf mirror. I created the custom black cabinet to hold the television. With the push of a button, the TV rises up so my clients can watch their favorite programs.
The home has beautiful arched doors that are framed by lovely wood. With the beams and the stunning windows, I had a fantastic backdrop to design against for the home office. I added comfortable upholstered seats and a gorgeous rug to soften and lighten the room.
In the primary bedroom, I crafted a quiet oasis of blues and creams. I added a chaise against the windows to give my clients an extra seating area. It’s a perfect complement for the sumptuous shelter bed.
The primary bathroom gives my clients an incredible spa-like experience. The shower runs the entire length of the space, with a bold curving bench to offer luxe seating. And a freestanding tub is curved for comfort.
