Pro Home Organizing Tips

Organizing is something I love to do at the new year. Many cultures believe that starting the year off with a clean and clutter-free home will bring you luck in the coming months. That’s an amazing thought, but I also just like to get things in shape to help me be more efficient and effective at home! Here are my pro tips for cleaning up the clutter in your home (featuring my NEW Morningview project).

1. Create a Clutter-Free Kitchen

In the kitchen, strive to keep the counters clutter-free. Visual clutter can make you tense and stressed and we all need LESS of that, right?? Organize your counters so that whatever is sitting on top is necessary and visually appealing. If you just don’t have the space in your kitchen cabinets for everything, get creative about where you store things you don’t use as often, like very large stockpots, serving dishes, and more.

2. Perfect the Pantry

How many times have you gone to the store for something, only to find you already had plenty of it at home? If your pantry is organized, it will definitely help you know what’s in stock at any time, which saves you time and money. Make your pantry work for you by organizing it so ingredients are stored together, canned goods are in a single spot, and baking items are all together.

3. Shine Up the Shelves

Every surface in our home eventually ends up with clutter, especially if you have kids. Shelves are one area that can become a mess very easily, especially as you take things down to use them. So do a quick survey of the bookshelves and open shelves in your home. Restyle them and take away anything that isn’t necessary. Create that visual calm that is so important in making your home look great!

4. Manage the Laundry

In the laundry room, I am a stickler for getting things organized! This room should set the mood for a clean home with lots of baskets, storage, and more. One of my favorite things to use are storage containers for soaps, fresheners, and dryer sheets!

Use these ideas to start off 2025 in a stress-free way!

Warmly,

Beth
