What sets a normal room’s design apart from a wow-worthy room? It’s all about the details, design, and out-of-the-box ideas. In a laundry room, where it’s all about functionality, I like to add stunning ideas that go beyond the washer and dryer. Here are 4 tips that will take your laundry room from everyday to luxe!

1. Go Bold

A utility room or laundry room does NOT need to be boring! Add some bold color, fabulous patterns, and even art. This room deserves a beautiful design just as much as any other space in the house. Plus, a gorgeous look will make mundane laundry tasks much more fun!

2. Upgrade Your Storage

Rather than having the normal containers for detergents and dryer sheets, use storage pieces that upgrade the look of your laundry space. In the coastal room above, I used white kitchen containers to store the key laundry essentials, as well as baskets for extra towels and blankets. It makes this laundry room look much more impressive!

3. CONSIDER CUSTOM

One of my most popular posts on social media has been the drying racks I designed for the laundry room in my Erin Knoll project.
