September was a banner month for our renovation - the floors were installed, the stairs are complete, the exterior was painted, and the kitchen is so close to completion. A big day for kitchen design is when the appliances move into the space - that’s when it really starts looking like a kitchen!

I almost did a dance in the front yard when I saw the truck pull up and those famous Thermador blue stars started coming off the truck.

As they unwrapped each piece, I had to take photos. I’ve never seen such a gorgeous sight as this dishwasher sitting in the middle of the floor. When you’ve been without your own kitchen for 2 years, every little thing that gets you closer to using it again will make you happy! This dishwasher also has a Power Beam that shines the remaining cycle time on the floor. Can’t wait to see that.

The refrigeration unit may not look like much now, but once it’s covered with the cabinet fronts, it will be spectacular! I was so lucky to work with the amazing team at Ferguson to help me choose the perfect pieces for my new kitchen. They were spot-on in their advice!

The French door refrigerator from Thermador is perfect! I chose the 36-inch version with the bottom freezer. It also has soft-close doors, which I love.

And then there’s the one appliance I’ve most been looking forward to - the range! It’s Thermador’s 48-inch Dual Fuel Pro Grand Range with all the bells and whistles. It has a griddle, and it has that steam oven that I’ve been dreaming about ever since I saw it in Thermador’s headquarters during a tour. Doesn’t it look amazing?!
