Fall Colors: Seeing Red
For a month known for its muted tones, fall still has some bright spots with its oranges, golds, and reds. Red is one of those colors that evokes a strong response from people. Color psychologists say it definitely attracts more attention than any other color on the spectrum.
Red definitely is a bit of a show-off, but it also has a cozy side to it, like in the library above.
It can also add a punch of emotion that makes a statement in your home.
Red plays well with almost any other color, making it a fun choice to experiment with.
Because psychologists believe that this color can raise blood pressure and keep you awake at night, they say it’s the one hue you shouldn’t use in a bedroom. But rules are made to be broken, right?
So what do you think of using red in your home decor? You can see more of my favorite rouge designs on my pinboard here.
