Inspiration: Pallette Cleanser
New fall colors are beginning to show - not just on the trees but in fashion and interior design! Pantone, the global authority on color, has surveyed the designers of New York Fashion Week to bring us the season’s most important color trends.
Fall 2015 palette is here, and this season the selection reflects an “Evolving Color Landscape,” that includes earthy neutrals like these:
PANTONE 17-0627 Dried Herb
PANTONE 16-0110 Desert Sage
PANTONE 18-4214 Stormy Weather
PANTONE 16-1144 Oak Buff
PANTONE 18-1438 Marsala
And a range of bold colors like these:
PANTONE 18-4726 Biscay Bay
PANTONE 19-4326 Reflecting Pond
PANTONE 15-1340 Cadmium Orange
PANTONE 16-2215 Cashmere Rose
PANTONE 17-3628 Amethyst Orchid
According to Pantone, the palette allows for both a masculine and feminine interpretation of hues and color combinations. I love that their selection reflects a shift toward a palette that isn’t reliant on color distinctions typically assigned to each gender.
Whenever Pantone releases a new family of colors, I am inspired. Their palettes are a great launching pad for new, fresh interiors, whether I am selecting paints or pillows or part-time accessories. Sometimes that seasonal splash of color in the form of an accent that can be swapped out makes all the difference in bringing new energy to a room.
