At any furniture or design market this year, reflective surfaces were all the rage! Not just wall mirrors but nightstands, vanities and dressers, were all featured in mirrored surfaces.
I’m a fan of using mirrors and reflective surfaces in my designs because they create interest and make a space look larger.
In the Jan Showers space, she used a gold sunburst mirror and other reflective items to create a warm room.
This space in House & Leisure created a cooler space with the light curtains and the mirrored vanity reflecting the icy blues and grays of the rest of the room.
Mirrors can also create balance in a room. This dining room from House Beautiful used a large mirror in place of artwork that might have been too busy over the beautiful wallpaper. It’s glamorous and sophisticated!
How do you add reflections to your space?
